2002 Community Day
Highlights

2002 Event Summary

In 2002, our primary goals were to provide relevant and quality breast cancer awareness and educational programming by hosting a symposium that bridged the gap and supported dialogue between researchers and the affected community. Also, we endeavored to make our 2nd Annual outreach event more “family friendly” by adding a Children’s Activity program to enable families to come and bring their children. The support of our sponsors, contributors, and volunteers helped us to accomplish these goals and much more. Over 238 individuals attended the 2002 Community Day Event at Greater Southeast Community Hospital in Washington, D.C. and received free health screenings. The Breast Cancer Education and Symposium was presented by six of the area’s best health professionals. (For more information on the Event's program, click here.)

Again, thank you for your support and interest in FOR THIS CAUSE--Breast Cancer.
