COMMUNITY DAY TO RAISE AWARENESS OF BREAST CANCER MORTALITY
                                IN THE WASHINGTON, D.C. COMMUNITY

        Washington, D.C. (September 12, 2003) - FOR THIS CAUSE, Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based
community organization committed to promoting breast cancer awareness and education, has partnered
with the YWCA of the National Capital Area, to sponsor its 3rd Annual Breast Cancer Event and
Community Day from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Saturday, October 4 at 9th and G Streets NW in downtown
Washington. Over 500 participants are expected to take part in the event.

        The daylong event will feature a fitness expo, health screenings, breast cancer seminars, an
empowerment workshop, children's activities and lunch. Free prizes and giveaways include a $200 Safeway
Shopping Spree.     FOR THIS CAUSE, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring together
a diverse community to address the profound physical, psychological, social, and economic effects breast cancer
has on the lives of women and families.

        The Breast Cancer Event's major sponsors are Safeway, Inc., the YWCA of the National Capital Area,
COMCAST and the Office on Women's Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
