Dr. James A. Dula and Iris Boswell to speak at the National Women's
Health Week Event in Prince George's County
Washington, DC -- Dr. James A. Dula, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Health and Human Services in Prince George's County and Iris Boswell, Special Assistant to County Executive Jack B. Johnson, will address residents of Prince George's County at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 13 during a special health workshop in celebration of National Women's Health Week presented by FOR THIS CAUSE, Inc. and the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex at the Wayne K. Curry Sports and Learning Center, 8001 Sheriff Road, Landover, Maryland.
The program, "FOCUS ON YOUR HEALTH," will feature presentations by the Prince George's Hospital Center--Dimensions Health Care, Prince George's County Health Department and the American Lung Association of Maryland on fitness, nutrition, tobacco use prevention and cessation. Johnsie Cogman, noted motivational speaker and recent breast cancer survivor, will give an insightful presentation on "Empowerment For Women."
As a service to parents with children, a concurrent children's program that includes health-related presentations and entertainment is planned. Funding for this program was provided by a grant from Safeway, Inc., Mid Atlantic Division.
